Camping Adventure
This past weekend we got to go camping at Big Sur. David came home a couple weeks ago and asked if we wanted to go camping at Big Sur. One of his coworkers moved away and was wondering if we wanted the camping reservation. The coworker had reserved the camp site months in advance and we were more than happy to take it off of their hands. The drive to the camp ground was about a three hour drive but it felt like 15 minutes once we got on highway 1. The views of the shoreline were amazing (sadly, no pictures). I just kept on feeling like I was looking at a calendar. Then we got to the campsite and the kids loved every minute of it. The camp site was right by a beautiful river and they even had a playground. We only stayed one night but it was a complete blast. I really am loving how the older Isaac gets the more he and Claire really are best friends. They do everything together and Isaac repeats everything that Claire says. It was so cute while sleeping in our tiny tent we had the two kids sleeping side by side and they snuggled right up next to each other. Then after we left the campground we wanted to stop for lunch somewhere along the shore but the kids were sleeping so we decided to take a more scenic route back; we followed Highway 1 as far as it would take us to our house and on the way we decided to stop in at one of our favortie beaches and have some lunch and play in the sand. The whole trip was amazing.

The pic of Claire and Isaac snuggled together sleeping is my favorite -- and Highway 1 is one of the most beautiful drives I have ever been on, too.
